The Account & Clients > Contacts section allows you to create one or multiple contact entities. These details can be set as "Doing Business As" contacts for either all of your accounts or for some particular hosting services. You may show this information in the Marketplace section in the hosting Control Panel of accounts that are not connected with a Client or are connected to a Client of an online store with disabled Account Panel for clients setting. These details may also be provided by us as alternative means of contact to your end customers who have billing questions. Under the Usage tab, you can see with what services a particular contact entry is associated.
Once you have created a contact, you will be able to associate it with your profile at the Account & Clients > My Account section, under Doing Business As. The details of this contact may be provided to any end customers of yours who need assistance regarding billing matters.
To add an Auxiliary Billing Contact to a specific hosting account, click its Manage button under Hosting Resources > Hosting Accounts, select Auxiliary Contacts, click Add, and choose the contact that you have previously created under the Account & Clients > Contacts section. Then click Select. If the end customer of this particular service contacts us for billing matters, we may provide the listed details for them to contact.
Creating a contact
You can create contacts by using the +Create new contact button of the ICDSoft Account Panel > Account & Clients section > Contacts subsection. Additionally, you can create new contacts when you choose to add a billing contact for your reseller account or for a hosting account via the Doing Business As section of their respective management pages.
Adding/choosing a contact
To add a new or choose an existing billing contact for your reseller account (or a specific hosting account), navigate to the ICDSoft Account Panel > Account & Clients section > My Account subsection (or the management page of the hosting account - Hosting Resources section > Hosting Accounts subsection), and select the Doing Business As option. Once it is selected, click on the Add button, and choose to create a new contact, or select an existing one.
If you wish to switch the billing contact for your reseller account (or for a hosting account), use the Change button that will be displayed below the current billing contact in the Doing Business As section of your reseller account (or the management page of the hosting account), and select the new billing contact.
Displaying contact details to customers
The Show in Control Panel setting in the Doing Business As section at the management screen of your reseller account (or of a specific hosting account) allows you to choose if the selected billing contact details should be displayed to all (or only to the owner of the hosting account) in the Marketplace section of the hosting Control Panel. If there is a contact template for the billing contact of the hosting account, only the content of that template will be displayed to the customer in the hosting Control Panel.
Editing a contact
You can edit existing contacts via the ICDSoft Account Panel > Account & Clients section > Contacts subsection. Click on the contact label, and update the contact details as necessary.
If a contact is already selected as default for your reseller account (or for a specific hosting account), you can edit that contact by using the Edit button from the Doing Business As section from the ICDSoft Account Panel > Account & Contacts section > My Account subsection (or the management screen of the hosting account).
Detaching a contact
To detach/remove the billing contact for your reseller account (or for a specific hosting account), use the Detach button from the Doing Business As section from the ICDSoft Account Panel > My Account section (or the management screen of the hosting account).
Deleting a contact
Existing contacts can be deleted from the ICDSoft Account Panel > Account & Clients section > Contacts subsection by clicking on the Delete button next to the contact. When you delete a billing contact, it will be detached from all items that use it.
The billing contact details will be displayed only in the Control Panel of hosting accounts not connected to a Client (with billing management set to No Client - Reseller Managed) or connected to a Client of an online store (with billing management Buys From your online store) with disabled Account Panel for clients setting.
Depending on the Show in Control Panel setting and the Doing Business As contacts for the hosting account and your reseller account, the details of the contact with the highest priority will be displayed to the customer in their hosting Control Panel and may be provided to the customer by us if requested. The contact with the highest priority is for the particular hosting account, and it can be set via its management page in the ICDSoft Account Panel > Hosting Resources section > Hosting Accounts subsection > Doing Business As section. Next is the contact for your reseller account, which is set via the ICDSoft Account Panel > My Account section > Doing Business As section. If no contact has been added for the hosting account or your reseller account, a generic message to contact the hosting provider will be shown in the Marketplace section of the hosting Control Panel. A contact will be considered inactive/disabled if the Show in Control Panel setting is disabled in the Doing Business As section for your reseller account or the hosting account.
If a contact has a template configured, only the information from that template will be displayed in the hosting Control Panel of the account. Otherwise, only the populated information in the following fields will be displayed: Company, First name, Last name, Email, Phone number, and Website.
The following variables can be used in the Contact Template to provide additional information specific to the client:
