A dark theme for the hosting Control Panel is now available

We have a new, dark theme for our online Control Panel. The new theme is called simply Dark. Users can switch to the new theme via the Theme drop-down menu in the Control Panel.

Our designers have also optimized the icons on the Control Panel's main screen for Retina displays. The icon optimizations affect the Modern and Dark themes.

New PHP version available on all servers - PHP 7.3

We are glad to inform you that PHP version 7.3 has been installed on all servers. All new hosting accounts are automatically configured to use it by default. Existing accounts can be switched to use the new PHP version via the hosting Control Panel > PHP Settings > Default PHP interpreter.

As with any new version, PHP 7.3 is expected to bring speed and stability improvements over previous PHP versions.

New compression module available on all servers: mod_brotli

We are pleased to announce that we enabled the mod_brotli compression module for Apache on all our servers.

It is an alternative to the mod_deflate module that is already available on our servers, but it should provide better compression.

New design for the hosting Control Panel

We are happy to announce that we have redesigned our hosting Control Panel. It now has a new and improved design that is better-suited to utilize the displays of modern computers.

There are two themes currently available - Classic and Modern. The Classic theme resembles the previous design of the Control Panel, whereas the Modern theme features a modern flat interface. ICDSoft customers can switch between the themes from the upper right corner of their hosting Control Panel.

Microarchitectural Data Sampling (MDS) vulnerabilities patched on all ICDSoft servers

In regards to the recently discovered MDS vulnerabilities (also known as Zombieload, RIDL, and Fallout) in Intel CPUs, we want to assure our clients that all of our machines have been secured. Since our servers use Intel CPUs, our system administrators have applied the necessary security updates in order to protect our customers from these Microarchitectural Data Sampling vulnerabilities.
