To configure the Gmail app on devices running Android (phones, tablets) to receive and send email using our servers over IMAP and SMTP with an encrypted connection, you can follow the steps below. In this manual we are using an example domain name and email address, so please make sure to replace:
username@domain-name-example.com with your email addressdomain-name-example.com with your domain nameyour_server.com with your server name (The server name is included in your Welcome email)
1. Open the Gmail app on your Android device, and tap the menu button in the top-left corner.
2. Scroll all the way down, and tap Settings.
3. Tap Add account.
4. Tap Other.
5. Enter username@domain-name-example.com in the Enter your email field (replace username@domain-name-example.com with your email address).
Tap the Next button.
6. Tap Personal (IMAP).
7. Type your password in the Password field. In the Password field you need to enter the current password for this particular mailbox.
Tap the Next button.
8. In the Server field enter mail.your_server.com (replace your_server.com with your server name). The Username and Password fields should be automatically populated with your full email address and the password you provided at step 7.
Tap the Next button.
9. In the SMTP Server field enter mail.your_server.com (replace your_server.com with your server name). The Username and Password fields should be automatically populated with your full email address and the password you provided at step 7. Make sure the Require signin option is enabled.
Tap the Next button.
10. Select the desired account options.
Tap the Next button.
11. Account name (optional): enter a short description of your account in your e-mail client. This name will show up only in your own email program. You can set a name such as "Work Account", "Sales mail" or your name for example.
Your name: enter the name that will appear in the email messages that you send.

10. Select the desired account options.

You may miss some e-mail messages if you use POP3 to access a mailbox that has SpamAssassin enabled for it. Please read our Possible issues when using POP3 and SpamAssassin article for more information.
To configure the Microsoft Outlook app for Android on your mobile device, please follow the steps below. Make sure you replace these details as follows:
username@example.com with your email addressexample.com with your domain nameyour_server.com with your server's host name (you can find your server's host name listed in the upper left corner of your Control Panel)
Open the Outlook app. If this is the first mail account you add, the ADD ACCOUNT option will be presented. If you already have some mail account(s) configured, tap the round button with an envelope in the top left-hand corner of the screen, then tap the cogwheel/gear button in the bottom left-hand corner. On the Settings screen tap ADD MAIL ACCOUNT, then tap Add an email account.
Enter your email address in the corresponding field and tap Continue.
On the next screen, tap IMAP.

Tap the tick in the top right-hand corner of the screen to complete the mailbox configuration.
Tap MAYBE LATER to go to your Inbox.
(Optional) In the Settings section for the account, you may want to disable the Focused Inbox option. Focused Inbox automatically sorts your messages, placing the most important emails in "Focused" and the rest in "Other". You can access the Settings section by tapping the round button with an envelope in it next to Inbox in the top left-hand corner of the screen, then tapping the cogwheel/gear button in the bottom left-hand corner.
To configure K-9 Mail for Android for sending and receiving emails using SMTP and IMAP over SSL, follow these steps:
Before You Start:
Email Address: Replace username@exampledomain.info with your actual email address.
1. Add a Mail Account
Open K-9 Mail. If you have not set up any accounts yet, tap Start. Otherwise, tap on the hamburger icon in the upper-left corner > Settings > Add Account. Type in your email address in the field and tap Next.
2. Configure Server Settings
K-9 Mail will automatically detect your server settings. Your email address will be already filled in.
Scroll down and tick I trust this configuration.
Type in your password.
Tap Next.
3. Configure IMAP Folders
On the next screen, you will be able to configure the special IMAP folders. You should synchronize the Drafts, Sent, Spam, and Trash folders with the corresponding IMAP folders on the server:

You will be asked to choose your:
Account Name
Your name
Email signature
Fill them in and tap Next.
5. Configure Sync Options
The next page will allow you to set the check frequency and the number of messages displayed. Tap Next.
6. Allow Access to Contacts and Notifications
K-9 Mail will ask permissions to access your contacts and send you notifications. You can tap on Allow next to each one or tap Skip.
7. Set Up Push Notifications
Tap on the hamburger icon in the upper-left corner > Settings > tap on your new account > Fetching Mail. Tap on Push Folders and set it to All.
Your email account is now configured!
To configure K-9 Mail to send and receive email using our servers using IMAP and SMTP over SSL/TLS, please follow the steps below. Please replace:
